Our team

Scans at Echopunt are made by profesional sonographers.

A scan can sometimes lead to a referral to a specialist in the OLVG or AUMC. Your midwife will be informed by us. Although present day ultrasound scan devices deliver high-quality images of your baby, there is no guarantee your baby is perfectly healthy. It is not possible for ultrasounds to detect every fetal anomaly.

Desiree Lesscher

Dear expecting parents.

My name is Desiree Lesscher.

I completed my midwife training in 1993 and I am a certified sonographer since 2003. From July 2016 I work full-time as a sonographer. The pregnancy, a child growing under your heart....it is fascinating. As a sonographer I get to share a very special moment with the expecting parents.

Nicolette Feiertag

I am Nicolette Feiertag. I graduated as a midwife from the Amsterdam Midwifery Academy in 1988. In the 25 years I worked as a midwife, I was involved in many different fields; in home practice, abroad for 'Artsen zonder grenzen', and 12.5 years as a clinical midwife at OLVG. Over 15 years ago, I started focusing on ultrasound scanning and have been working for many years as a certified sonographer in Amsterdam, at Echopunt. It remains special to thoroughly examine a baby before birth at any stage of pregnancy and to see the wonder of the expectant parents. My work never bores me; in fact, it has become a sort of addiction.

Sadee Bense

After obtaining my MBRT diploma (medical imaging), I specialized in ultrasound. To this day, I have never regretted this decision. It is a fantastic profession, and I go to work every day with great pleasure. Witnessing the miracle of new life, using this special technology, and supporting people during both joyful and sometimes sorrowful moments gives me a great deal of satisfaction. It is a wonderfully responsible profession, and I hope to perform many more ultrasounds in the future.
